What Shopping Small Means To US

We have a weekly tradition in our family- every Saturday there is a Farmers Market in our little community and we always go and get our vegetables, eggs, meats, etc. at this farmers market. Why do we do this? It is less about the groceries being "organic" or "pesticide free" and more about the fact that the people selling the products are our neighbors, local farmers and simply small business owners like ourselves. This Saturday we will be shopping small ourselves (and thanks to American Express, some of that shopping will be free!).

Our family business started 4 years ago when my mother got the idea which spurred many hours of research, thousands of dollars in product, and a strong will to push through. She had much opposition from the beginning, but she trucked through and created the site and many of the products on  her own. In the first month I would come by and help her out after my other job and classes at The Ohio State and after her day job. We'd often work until the wee hours of the morning. From there we expanded and I became a designer, my brothers were tossed into prodcution and my dad started advertising- all after our other obligations during the day.

My husband was stationed at Ft. Benning in Georgia and I moved with him- for the next 3 years I worked remotely doing design, customer service and filing in the gaps remotely. My little family moved back home this year, and I'm blessed to be fully immersed in the day to day operations as I've never been before.

Most of our discussions are focused on the business- ways to improve, ways to market, new ideas and designs...  We haven't all killed each-other... yet, but we are all very passionate about the business and sometimes tempers run high (it could be that my father is Italian and we all have that stubborn streak and talk with our hands a lot). Basically, what all of this means is that we all care an awful lot about our customers and our product- we want to ensure every order is accurate, we want to make every customer happy, we want our facebook page to be more like a group of friends or family and we want everyone to love decals as much as we do!

You are our bread and butter, our friends... not only customers. We appreciate you and your efforts shopping with us! From our family... to yours.
