New Photo Collages- FAQ

Since we launched our amazing NEW Adhesive Photo Collages (i.e. photo wallpaper, i.e. sticky collages) found HERE we've had tons of inquiries (and orders) pouring in! We wanted to clarify a few things for you so that you can get the best possible print.

First off, let me tell you what exactly Adhesive Photo Collages are, since they are entirely new:

  • Fine art quality photos printed on a beautiful canvas fabric with adhesive backing (think of canvas prints without the frame directly adhered to your wall just like wallpaper).
  • Several templates, filters and border color options to make your photos truly POP!
  • You can move them around- many times! They don't lose their stick or damage your walls/surfaces.
  • You pick how you want it to look- just tell our designer exactly how to do it, they will send you a mock-up and you can make as many changes as you want before they are printed.
Warning- once you install one of these and see how BEAUTIFUL and painless it is you'll want to do 5 more, and you'll want to give them as gifts to everyone you know, and you'll want... - believe me, it is a real addiction, but we are here to help!

Here are some things you should keep in mind:

  • Photo Quality- just like any other printing the better the photograph is the better it will print. We can print anything you give us- but you'll need to keep in mind that these pictures get HUGE and the better quality photo, the better it will blow up without looking pixelated. Iphone photos in good light turn out fine, same with digital and DSLR cameras- I would recommend staying away from photos that come from disposble cameras or low-light situations, however. Photos you pull off of facebook can sometimes work, but don't blow up well since they are so small. If you know any of the tech-talk we like your photos to be over 300dpi. Don't worry though, we will not only tell you if your photo should be swapped for another, but we'll show you how it will look so you can decide for yourself. Check out the photo demonstration of this below.
  • Aesthetic- the best collages are the ones that look like you put some thought into them, pick photos that go well together or have a similar vibe. Not all photos need to be of people- throwing in some scenery or macro shots are also a great way to make your collage look beautiful and professional! Keep in mind the difference in landscape or vertical prints so you provide your designer with the right mix (though, he/she can crop as needed). Tutorial below.
  • Measure your space- when we say these collages get up to 7' x 3' that means SEVEN FEET by three foot. We have several options available so definitely measure out the wall you'd like it to be before you pick your template, it will certainly save you the headache later.
  • Order- Let us know if you want your photos in a certain spot- each of our templates has an image with simple numbers on it for this reason. Lets say you want a photo of your wedding as the main photo in the collage- simply let the designer know this in comments in your order (or better yet, rename your photo files with the corresponding number to our template before submitting).

Actual photo below- a little hard to tell, but the disposable camera print does not look nearly as good as the professional ones!

Also, did you know they 1. stick to pretty much any surface and 2. you can apply them to curved or textured walls, too? Check this out (great to cover up a bad corner)!

And check out this collage on yet ANOTHER wall- yeah, we stuck this one about 15 times, it doesn't lose it's stick!!
